Finished the first Bas Relief Sculpture workshop in Wisconsin! Had a blast...met a group of wonderful Women, who did some pretty awesome work. Next class will be in Naples, Florida at The Open Decor Show in January...that should be really fun!! Later..... Happy Creating!

Here is the first day of color painting on the sculpted sign I am doing with Roger Cox of House of Signs....and 3-5 other awesome, enthusiastic, artists pitching in! It is an incredibly time eating project, but we are loving it and it's a blast to create this Low and High relief sculpted sign...... some of the key elements are not in the picture because of the painting....so, I'll post more later. We may be adding more animals and other elements to complete the story...stay tuned.... I'm on my way to Wisconsin for the first Bas Relief Workshop, after Thanksgiving!!
I'm going to spoil my students with as much info and hands on learning as possible in 3 days! I'm really excited to start teaching it! I'll post pictures and share the experience as we go... The 1st phase was started in May and we completed the 2nd last week. It was so great to see people's positive reactions to this unique art form and thanks to all who attended!! I am now offering workshops on my bas relief sculpture....1st one is in Dec. in Wisconsin at The Paint Store Inc. 101 S. Washington St. Waupaca, WI 54981 (715)256-0688 Call Allyce Lees at The Paint Store to sign up or e-mail me for more info. Deadline for sign-up is November 15th. Class limit is 9 The next one will be in January at The Open Decor Show in Naples, Florida, where I will share the class with Ellie Ellis. I'll keep you posted for additional classes..... Winter has hit us here in the high country...and we are all gearing up to ski, snowboard and cross country. It's going to be a great winter! Hey all!

Ellie Ellis from Elite Artistry LLC will be joing me to participate and share some of her own techniques with creating molds for bas relief. We have totally different techniques...but they will work together beautifully! SEPT, 15th is the deadline so I can order the custom frames to be made for class Class limit is 6 Dates for the Bas relief sculptural workshop are October 26th, 27th, and 28th, 2011. It will be held in my studio here in Colorado. 5 slots available...can't wait!!!
We'll be creating 2 fine art pieces framed and ready to hang or sell. Great opportunity for any artist to learn a new technique and to bring something special home. Happy Summer everyone!!!!
